Ads on Air website redesign

As creative director on this project, I led a redesign of Google's video event and livestream website for Google Ads, Ads on Air. This project became a high priority for Google due to COVID-19.

The site was not aligned with Google Ads branding, and had a number of branding and usability issues that had been audited earlier in the year. My team leveraged that audit, built on it, and solved for these issues in a short, 5-6 week timeframe.

I worked with a writer, designers, and our animator to concept a new homepage and hero animation that would quickly convey the site's purpose and value. We also reorganized the site menu and content, and redesigned it to more effectively convey its value proposition, purpose, and place in the Google brand hierarchy. We also provided Google with creative guidelines for a more consistent design experience and stronger UX/UI, so other teams could easily update the work.

You can see the site live.

The result was a very happy client and her team: “Couldn't be happier with where we ended up on this project. I am so enormously grateful to everyone involved, and especially to your tireless rolling with the punches towards the end!"
